SR1 Multi-Asset Roadway Rehabilitation Project

Scope: Major pavement rehab project, from Wavecrest Rd, HMB, to Marine Bl, at the south end of Moss Beach, to restore the facility to good repair, improve roadway safety, upgrade drainage systems, enhance pedestrian & bike access, and upgrade existing traffic system infrastructure. Target construction: 2025 - 2026.

• Apr 2, 2024 Appeal filed to Coastal Commission re loss of coastal access informal parking along SR1 between Coronado & Capistrano due to installation of Class 2 bicycle lanes.

• Feb 28, 2024 Planning Commission hearing for Coastal Development Permit (approved): staff report & video.

• Jan 2024 CDP application PLN2023-00390 referral to MCC including plans and studies. MCC comments

• Oct 2022 Final Initial Study with Negative Declaration. MCC Comments & Caltrans Response. County comments with Caltrans response
