DPW/Parks Routine Maintenance Program

In 2020 the County adopted a 5-year Routine Maintenance Program for the Public Works and Parks Departments, certifying the EIR and approving a Coastal Development Permit for the program. This streamlined permitting process evaluates potential impacts of the maintenance activities in a comprehensive manner, rather than requiring separate permits for individual projects. Primary maintenance activities in the Manual include storm drainage maintenance (culvert, bridge, roadside ditch, stream bank stabilization), trail and road maintenance, and vegetation management.
