UPDATE 12/12/12:
Planning Commission hearing on the Boatyard Project appeal was continued to date uncertain. Planner said she needed time to adequately respond to concerns raised in letter from Committee for Green Foothills yesterday. Commissioner Slocum asked for more information to be included on:

--effect of sea level rise on the erosion study and building setbacks,
--“area-wide shoreline protection program and access solution” lateral access trail,
--how the project relates to the Princeton long-range planning process getting underway, and other issues.

She noted the recent nearby Big Wave Project approved by County but denied at Coastal Commission and asked staff and Commissioners to reflect on what might be learned in reviewing projects going forward.

Commissioner Hansson commented that he doesn’t understand how the proposed warehouses on the limited and precious available shoreline area will support the Midcoast.

Agenda Item #10:  Field Study Session for a project involving an expansion, reconfiguration, and upgrade of an existing 39- space parking lot with amenities which serves the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve on a 32,306 sq. ft. parcel located in the unincorporated Moss Beach area of San Mateo County. AgendaStaff Report.  Postponed from 10/24 (see prior MCC post).

NOTE: If it is raining at 11:00 a.m. on the day of the meeting, the field trip will not occur, but the study session will be conducted with a slide presentation in the Board of Supervisors Chambers.
