Coastside Transit Town Hall Meeting May 24

Town Hall meeting: May 24, 6:30 PM
Ted Adcock Community Center, 535 Kelly Ave, HMB

Following up on bus service evaluation and public comment over the past year, SamTrans has released their Coastside Transit Study Update, which includes a set of Coastside service recommendations.

Near-term improvements:
--Extension of the 118 route to serve Daly City BART (took effect 1/21/18)
--One additional evening trip on the 118 at 7:30pm (took effect 1/21/18)
--Evaluate opportunities for better-timed transfers to and from Coastside routes (ongoing effort in 2018)

Longer-term improvements, requiring significant resource investment, to be further studied:
--Express bus route between HMB and Daly City BART, envisioned to run on weekdays at 20 or 30-minute frequency in the peak commute periods and hourly in the midday periods.
--Linda Mar park-and-ride improvements
--Continue to assess potential for non-traditional transportation options to solve mobility challenges on the Coast.
