CEQA comments & responses to comments

The environmental review & draft ordinance were released for public comment at a series of Coastside venues in Oct/Nov (presentation), following nearly a year of study (Dec 2016 / Jul 2017) during a temporary moratorium on commercial non-medical marijuana activity.

Nov 9, Ted Adcock Community Center, HMB
Nov 13, Agricultural Advisory Committee
Nov 14, Pescadero Municipal Advisory Council

The draft ordinance provides for commercial cultivation within greenhouses with a Business License with extensive operational requirements, oversight and enforcement.

The City of Half Moon Bay is working on their own cannabis cultivation ordinance. (11/21/17 staff report / 11/29/17 news article & opinion piece)

Recently released State of California regulations will go into effect 1/1/2018, subject to any more restrictive local odinances.
