Opening - Midcoast Community CouncilThere is an open position on the MCC for a term of office that ends November 2013. This interim position would be filled by appointment by the Board of Supervisors. Those interested should feel free to contact any MCC member to discuss the opening. Openings - Coastside Design Review Committee (CDRC)CDRC has several vacancies, for Midcoast residents, and for an architect (who may reside anywhere in San Mateo County). CDRC reviews residential planning applications for compliance with specific exterior design standards and makes recommendations to the County Planning Department. The purpose of CDRC is to help ensure that projects on the Coastside meet a minimum set of community sensibilities, as defined in the Midcoast Residential Design Standards. The MCC, with input from members of CDRC, adopted a list of Desirable Traits for a CDRC member. Committee members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors. CDRC public hearings are held on the second Thursday of most months at 1:30 pm at the Moss Beach Sheriff's substation. For additional information call (650) 363-1867. |
MCC Committees and Work GroupsIn order to be most effective, the MCC needs community members to become involved and work on local issues. Come to MCC meetings and/or contact MCC members to offer your energy and expertise in the area of your interest. Openings - County Housing & Community Development CommitteeThis citizen committee provides recommendations on grant funding allocations to help develop and improve viable communities by providing decent housing and suitable living environments and expanding economic opportunities principally for persons of very low to moderate income.
